Children will learn the basic concepts of dance, perfecting weight transfers and balance, while working on their improvisation and cooperation skills within a group. Children will learn through games, routines and repetitive movement. These classes help instill the proper etiquette, love, and appreciation for the art of dance.

Children's Classes allow 5 - 8 year olds the opportunity to explore a tap/jazz combination class, a ballet class, an acrobatic class, or a hip-hop class. Classes at this level range from 45 minutes to 1 hour weekly, and dancers may choose which discipline(s) they wish to follow. Teachers work on technique to prepare dancers for our junior and senior programs. Students learn basic positions and vocabulary of ballet, jazz and tap.

These programs will guide dancers toward whatever goals they have - whether it is dance as an extra-curricular activity or to pursue dance as a professional career.
