An Inspired Premier Dancer is a dancer who is ages 7 - 9 and entering 2nd, 3rd or 4th grade in the 2021-22 school year. This may be a dancer's first year on the Performance Company (Premier 1) or has been part of the Dance Inspirations Performance Company (Premier 2).

Placement is determined by Teacher Discretion.  We believe that everyone at this age should have the opportunity to participate in our performance company, and if the performance company is not the right fit for a child we offer several other opportunities to shine.  If we feel that a child is not ready for the performance company we will discuss this with the child’s family and only the child’s family.     

Both Premier 1 & 2 must be enrolled in the style of dance they will be competing in.   Dancers will have an additional 30 min rehearsal weekly for each dance they will be competing in.

Premier 1

Weekly scheduled classes of families choice in tap, jazz, and/or ballet 

1 rehearsal weekly in the dance of their choice (tap, jazz or ballet)

Premier 2 

Ballet hours determining by class placement is required

Classes in tap, jazz, contemporary, Hip Hop, musical theater are encouraged but not required (Electives)

Eligible for additional competition dances such as large groups & productions by teacher discretion.

Summer Training Requirements

Beginning the summer before a dancer is eligible for Inspired Premier 2, the dancer is required to participate in a summer dance, all dancers must take ballet, and any discipline the dancer will be competing in.

Tuition

• Your monthly tuition is determined by regular class load and Dance Inspirations tuition rates for the year.

Performance Fee 

• $415.00 per dance broken into 10 or 12 payments includes 1 costume per dance, a pair of performance tights, rehearsal fees & competition fees. (premier 1 dancers participate in only 2 dances)

Parent Preview

• Typically held in February, Parent Preview gives the dancers a chance to have a dress rehearsal, prior to competitions, with a real audience. In addition, it gives you the chance to see all the dances and invite all your family, friends, and neighbors to attend. Tickets will be sold for audience members. 

Competitions

• Inspired Premiere Company will attend 3 Dance Competitions that will be held in the New England Area.  Competitions will be determined by faculty and a schedule will be announced as soon as possible. 

Optional Performance opportunities (Electives) 

• Holiday Show
• Spring Fling 
• Convention and/or Workshop (Dancers who are 8 by 1/1/2023 are eligible to attend for an additional cost)

For ALL classes, dancers are required to wear the dress code color leotard, tights and shoes. All hair must be worn up and away from their face. No jewelry or distracting attire. 

Each dancer is required to purchase a pair of earrings. They cost approximately $13-$15.  They will also need some basic make-up - same as recital requirements

Optional Dance Inspirations Performance Company warm-ups will be available for purchase.
